Our School Year
KOJEN preschools are open all year round.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We offer a safe, stable
environment for your child, from age 3, right through to the first
years of elementary school. Our school year is divided into three
sections:
Semester One: September 1st – January 31st
Semester Two: February 1st – June 30th
Summer Session: July 1st – August 31st
Curriculum
Our material is especially designed for children learning in our
environment. It has been used successfully through the years.
We teach all subjects (English, drama, art, etc) in English, with
material organized by theme. Themes include wild animals, family,
Dragon Boat Festival, and Halloween. Themed teaching helps your child to learn systematically, and to
build on knowledge over the years in school.
All-English Environment
All classes are led by the native English-speaking teacher, who
stays with the children for five hours each day. This gives each
child the opportunity to interact with teachers, not only in the
classroom, but also during free play and daily routines. So, children
don't just learn grammar and vocabulary. They use English in a
natural setting, to play with friends, and to do things like get
more food or brush their teeth – with the support of caring teachers
and staff.
After School Program
After the school day, parents can choose to enroll their children
in activities that further broaden their experiences. Local teachers
come to our schools, and offer a number of classes, which may

上課時間:
科見托兒所提供全年全美語教學,上課日為星期一至五,早上8點到下午6點。學校提供幼兒安全的學習環境,招生對象為滿3歲之幼兒,完整三年之學前教育,整學年分為三期:
第一學期:九月一日至隔年一月三十一日止。
第二學期:二月一日至六月三十日止。
暑期班:七月一日至八月三十一日止。
課程內容:
主教材是特別針對台灣學齡前幼兒教育而設計,多年來這套教材已在科見幼兒園被老師、家長充份的肯定及認同。課程以單元主題為主軸而加以延伸,例如:戲劇、美勞、故事…等,皆與主題相關,也都是孩子所感到興趣的內容及配合中ˋ外節慶之活動,例如:動物ˋ玩具ˋ家庭ˋ端午節ˋ萬聖節ˋ聖誕節…等,透過單元主題的教學讓孩子得到系統性的學習,以提升孩子的知識領域。
全美語環境:
採專任導師制;小班全日精緻教學,導師與孩子有充份的互動機會,讓孩子不僅在課堂上學習美語,更在每日生活中充分運用美語來作為溝通之工具。
課後規劃:
四點下課後,學校另聘有專業的本地教師提供多樣的才藝課程給小朋友,一則免去家長疲於接送之辛勞,二則可豐富孩子之學習經驗,才藝班會根據各分校需求而有不同之課程安排,包括:
大班之正音班、美術班、體能班、奧福音樂班、日文班
如果家長不選擇才藝班,則於4~5點間由帶班中師,設計有益幼兒身心發展及認知之活動,包括:
語文智能-圖書、故事分享、課後省思。
音樂智能-兒歌教唱、律動。
視覺空間智能-勞作、摺、剪紙、撕貼畫,增進小肌肉發展。
穿線練習、訓練手、眼協調。
肢體動能-運球、團康、體能訓練,促進大肌肉發展。
五點下課自由活動時間,學校提供寬敞之遊戲區,供幼兒充分活動。
